Women’s Spring Trends 2022

The latest spring fashions have started trickling into stores, but is there really anything new?

Most years, it doesn’t feel like it, but surprisingly, I’ve spotted a few interesting trends that do feel kind of different and exciting this time around. Take a look and let me know which ones you think could work for you?

1. Bright Pop Color Suits

Make a statement from the office to drinks with your friends in a bright suit. These pops of color brighten everyone’s day and elevate your wardrobe instantly. Rather than go for traditional shades, try your hand at something loud, such as blue or red. Find a hue that best suits your skin tone and rock it in its entirety. Add accessories like a bold clutch bag and a pair of funky heels. It’s a versatile option that allows you to stand out amongst the crowd.

2.Fringe

Fringe has been making its way into a range of collections as of late, and one thing is for sure in the spring fashion trends taking over in 2022: fringe is for way more than just denim and cowboy boots. In fact, fringe seemed to be everywhere at Milan Fashion Week, accessorizing a range of aesthetics. Engulfing everything from pants to dresses and bags, the trend has taught us one major takeaway: any occasion is appropriate for a dose of fringe.

3.Wide Leg Trousers Tucked into Boots

Mixing and matching new styles is a great way to discover something new, and that’s what this latest trend does. Tucking your straight leg trousers into boots puts a funky spin on the classic outfit, and adds a subtle punk twist to your ensemble. Whether you prefer combat to cowboy designs, you can find the perfect fit to match your personality.

4.Matching Sets

Could it actually be possible to not love a matching set? We didn’t think so either. The ease of having an outfit all put together for you, while having the versatility to wear the separates styled on their own, is a big reason we are happy to see more designers work them into cold-weather collections. The updates? Exciting new prints, slightly relaxed silhouettes, and taking the 2022 spring fashion trend further with optional matching jackets.

5.Gold Standard

Gold has smashed through a new price record on the global markets as the pandemic continues to take effect, but fashion got there first: the February runways were filled with glistening gowns (Tom Ford and Oscar de la Renta), sumptuous day dresses (Celine), and one-off armoured Joan of Arc-inspired outfits (Paco Rabanne). If you’re shopping for a Christmas party number, this is the hue to pursue.
